Enterprise Advisers are passionate individuals from the business world that volunteer to work closely with a local secondary school or college to provide strategic support and real-life insights into the labour market.
You can use your valuable business experience and professional networks to help develop an effective careers plan that supports students to learn about the world of work and prepare for their futures. You don’t need to be an expert in the careers or education landscape to do this!
Enterprise Advisor’s volunteer their support for at least one academic year and will meet their key contact once every half term (i.e. every two months), either face to face or virtually.
The Enterprise Adviser Network is a national programme provided by the Careers & Enterprise Company, with more than 2,700 volunteers across the country. It is delivered locally by Tees Valley Combined Authority’s careers team, who are on hand to support you with guidance and practical resources.
