Over the past month we have held Year 11 assemblies for local colleges to come in and do a presentation for the students.
Middlesbrough College came in on Friday 25th November to talk about all their options A-Levels, T-Levels, and Apprenticeships.
Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College came in on Friday 2nd December and mentioned all the subjects they offer, including some vocational ones.
UTC South Durham came in on Friday 9th December and talked about their STEM focused technical college and their links to the local business’ around them on the business park. They have good connections with them and opportunities for the students to gain work experience.
Drop-in application workshops were also arranged over lunch in the library.
Middlesbrough College, QE and Darlington College all came in throughout the week to encourage and help students to put an application in if they were interested. They were also there for the students if they had any questions about specific courses.
We will continue the year 11 assemblies in the New Year and host more drop-in application sessions if the students need it.
