Join students across the UK and world-renowned engineer Arjo van der Ham.
Arjo van der Ham is Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer at Lightyear. Arjo grew up in a small farming village in the Netherlands. Starting in an auto-repair shop and seeing the flaws of petrol cars for himself first hand, Arjo is now one of the founders of Lightyear, working to manufacture the world’s first solar car.
During this 1 hour session, your students will also take part in an engineering challenge of their own and design a car of the future. Every class that submits a design will receive an Aspire to Engineer certificate and one class will win a cash prize to spend on STEM equipment.
Places are limited, sign up now for the summer event. This event is open to students in KS2 and KS3 (England, Wales and Northern Ireland) and P4-7 and S1-3 (Scotland).
The event will take place on 24 May 2023 at 2pm on Zoom.
Please sign up each class individually so their classroom teacher will receive their own joining link.
