Excellence in inspiring teacher engagement – how do we encourage and motivate teachers to support careers education within their curriculum and subject areas?
A sustainable careers education strategy ensures all key influencers in a young person’s life are engaged both in education and home environment to maintain a consistent level of support and guidance. Research tells us, teacher are key influencer for young people and their career decision-making. Through effective curriculum engagement, teachers can help to break through barriers and stereotypes, exploring viable options and widening opportunities to those who may be disengaged.
This is an opportunity to hear from a range of practitioners across the sector who have successfully embedded careers in the curriculum within their setting, showcasing effective measures that have helped to develop this on a whole school level.
