Compound Semiconductor Applications (CSA) Catapult is excited to present ‘Engineering the future: Compound semiconductor careers in the North East’.

This conference, produced with support from NEAME, will showcase the career opportunities available in compound semiconductor technologies and their associated industries, to career advisors and teachers in the region.

The event will inspire and inform attendees about the careers available in this sector and provide details the academic pathways that exist to help learners enter the industry. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet with local employers.

The conference will open with a keynote speaker, who will explain the importance and impact of this industry on a local, national, and global scale.

This keynote will be followed by three industry representatives who will discuss:

These talks will be followed by a spotlight on educational pathways including T Levels, apprenticeships and degree pathways, presented by colleagues from academic and industrial partners.

The event will close with all speakers joining a panel session followed by an audience Q&A.

The presenter slide decks will be shared after the event, so advisors have a resource they can use when they are speaking with learners, parents and teachers.
