INTRODUCTION TO CAREERS IN THE SCREEN INDUSTRIES – TEES VALLEY
Thursday 9th February, 2pm – 5pm at The Northern Studios/Northern School of Art, Hartlepool Campus
Featuring talks and insights from top industry professionals from the BBC, ERIC (award-winning careers platform), international film and TV production company Fulwell 73, North East Screen, the region’s screen agency and Northern School of Art.
Do your students know that working in the screen industries is an achievable career route for them?
The Screen Industries in Tees Valley and the wider North East is a growth sector. With increased regional investment, a strong partnership with BBC in place, The Northern Studios (the only large scale film and TV studios in the region) opening in Hartlepool, new productions being made in the Tees Valley, and increased expectations for broadcasters and production companies to deliver more out-of-London, it is an exciting time to consider a career in the screen industries in the Tees Valley.
This event will deepen understanding of the screen industries sector and provide you with information about the sector locally, insights and pathways to the wide range of career options in this sector, help to explore the opportunities and barriers young people face and signpost you to resources to help advise and guide your students to enter into a career in this sector.
