Study programmes help young people aged 16 to 19 gain employability skills and qualifications to progress into further education, apprenticeship or employment. Study programmes should be tailored to each individual but will normally consist of the following areas:


Substantial qualifications that stretch your child’s ability and prepare them for education at the next level, or for employment.


English and mathematics for students that have not yet achieved a GCSE grade 4 or above.


Work experience to give your child the opportunity to develop their career options and to apply their skills in a working environment.


Other non-qualification activity to develop students’ character building, broaden skills, attitudes and confidence, and to support progression.
